Historically, the inspections mainly relied on human brain judgment and manual recording, which left security issues. For example, the central motor oil station or gearbox inspection must be inspected every 2 hours. There are more than 60 parts to be inspected throughout the process. There is a high probability of a missed step, and a small mistake will turn into a significant irreversible accident.
X-Craft standardizes the inspection process and eliminates the need for manual records. Firstly, the inspection personnel are strictly required to operate each process through a camera and voices established from backstage. The system will issue a reminder if there is no formal operation, or the operating time exceeds the normal range. Secondly, the AR glass can record the whole process, keeping traces of the inspection behavior, and when a problem occurs, it can be traced at any time. Lastly, when the inspector finds a nuisance but cannot solve it, he can retrieve the knowledge base and call the corresponding solution that has been recorded to assist the inspector in dealing with it correctly.

When a major problem occurs, primarily due to the pandemic, it’s challenging to arrange the on-site experts immediately. Experts can now guide remotely if personnel wear X-Craft.
